Stroke 29

Do yourself a favour and take a cyber stroll in the direction of Empowered Products. Get your hand off the mouse when you hit 'Stroke 29′.

It stays where you put it. Scoop up a dab and apply evenly around your shaft. Up and down, slow and steady. You'll notice a change in the sensation around the 29th stroke as 'stroke 29′ takes on the heat and glide of aroused human tissue. Please jack off responsibly.

The words are straight off the 'stroke 29′ tub itself.

A promise. Instructions. A rhythm. Slightly scientific. A public service announcement.

Who knew that a simple stroke could get so complicated?

Here's the thing though, 'stroke 29′ (made by Gun Oil) is just about the best stuff that my cock has been made to test. As long as you heed the instructions. Take it slow and steady. Slow down for christ's sake. Enjoy the time it takes to get it going. I promise that somewhere about the 29th stroke - give or take - the cream is not a cream any more. I admit I didn't count the strokes from semi-solid to slick. I don't know a guy who would have the functioning brain to count off the number of times he pumps his dick. All you need to know is that when it gets hot and releases itself you're not far behind. It offers the added benefit of not working its way down and leaving sticky circles on your favourite chair.

Thanks to my afternoon out with Pearl at A Little More Interesting a load of hot stuff came my way - Stroke 29 is searing hot.

So boys, don’t even bother pretending that you don’t jerk-off with a sort of enthusiasm you can’t muster for the minutiae that happens beyond shooting a big load. You’ve not gone blind, your palms aren’t hairy, one bicep isn’t freakishly larger than the other. Allow yourself a nice, long, slow wank now and then.

Size Matters

We don’t review our books as often as we should. With four kids, reading is a luxury that I am not always afforded. I’m not great at book reviews as I feel like I am doing a grade 5 book report, but I’ll try.

Size Matters The Hard Facts About Male Sexuality that Every Woman Should Know, is written by Harry Fisch, M.D. Dr. Fisch is a Columbia professor, urologist and fertility doctor. He had enough credentials to get me to read past the first chapter. I have to say, I get pretty tired of books written by self proclaimed experts.

One of the reasons I really wanted to read this book is because I know there are so many misconceptions out there about size. On a regular basis we point to one of our dildos “Perk” and tell people that it is an average size. Both men and women are shocked at how small average is. The truth is, Perk is actually bigger than average.

Dr. Fisch starts off talking about the average size of a penis, 3-3.5” flaccid and slightly more than 5” erect. He talks about the misconceptions that we have about penis size and how it affects our views. He points to one 2005 study in which 92 men came to a hospital clinic and complained that their penises were too small. Not one of them was abnormally small. They were just overestimating average.

Beyond penis size, he addresses testicle size, masturbation, intercourse, the science of contraception, erectile dysfunction and STIs. Sounds boring? Not really. The book is filled with human and facts such as “Animal that produces the most ejaculate: Blue whale – 4 gallons per ejaculation.” He uses excellent statistics through the book and talks about the “Hard Facts”.

I talk about sex all day everyday. I read as much as I can. I am definitely not an expert but I am reasonably well learned on the subject. That being said, I learned a lot from Size Matters.

The book says everyone woman should know these facts. I would actually go further and say it is a book that everyone should read. It puts to rest some of the misconceptions we have about male sexuality. One step closer to positive sexuality.

Bgood

We often review our more expensive vibrators. To be honest, there is always a trade off between price and quality. It’s our store, so we tend to have the higher priced toys in our personal toybox.

That being said, we do appreciate that no everyone wants to spend $100 on a toy. It took us over a year to find a line of toys that we would stand behind in the lower price range. One day, we found Bswish. Like us, they are committed to quality and safe materials.

Bgood is your classic straight vibe. It sells for $45, which is an awesome price point for a quality toy.

Bgood is definitely not the quietest toy we have in stock. It doesn’t have five speeds and, to be honest, the intensity switch is hard to turn once lubed.

Here’s the fun part. Bgood is waterproof and we own a hot tub.

Now, I think my dad reads this, even though I told him not to read it. I’ll spare you the graphic details. I will tell you that Bgood is a simple vibe that more than delivers at its price point.

Boudoir Photography

Let me start by saying that even if you are comfortable with your body, and confident, the idea of strutting around like a Victoria Secret model can be daunting even for the most secure.

I am not by any means 6 feet tall with legs that stretch on for days, and I was terrified to put it bluntly, walking into the studio, seeing the set and trying to imagine myself barely clothed in front of a camera. The idea of boudoir photography was as frightening as it was exciting. That being said, deciding to just “go for it” was one of the best choices I have ever made.

I ran in the front door at Perry Thompson Photography, trying to escape the gloomy drizzle of rain that had taken over the day, heart racing, and very nervous. Within minutes of being in the studio all of my fears dissipated. I was given a tour, offered a glass of wine, introduced to Perry, Jess, and Angie and immediately felt comfortable.

Perry, Jess Martin and Angie, are exceptionally open and encouraging, incredibly animated and full of energy; I couldn’t help but feel at ease instantly. Once I had settled in, talked over outfits, and ideas for the shoot with Jess and Perry, the preparation began. (And for all those that are a little lost on the direction you want the shoot to go, or how you would like it to look, they are more than helpful with ideas and suggestions!)

The first step in my transformation was the makeup. Jessica Morgan is the in house makeup artists and she is absolutely fantastic. Incredibly energetic, friendly and full of compliments, I was completely beaming, and excited by the time she was finished. The makeup itself is hypoallergenic, lightweight, and applied in a way that is designed to photograph beautifully. I took one look at myself in the mirror, and was shocked. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous I looked!

Once I recovered, I couldn’t wait to start, even though there were still more than a few butterflies floating around in the pit of my stomach.

Wrapped in a black silk robe (provided by Perry) I stepped in front of the camera. Then it was finally time to drop the robe and start. My first couple frames were a bit awkward as I settled into being in front of the camera and then I heard Perry, and Jess gently coaching. “Move your hand just slightly this way”, “come towards the camera”…. It really helped me to have instructions, and freedom at the same time. I started to concentrate on the way my body was positioned, instead of the butterflies. Then I heard Perry again, “that’s great! Come take a look.”, and as I looked at the camera and saw all the lighting, positioning, and well, everything come together on the screen, I was blown away. I was beautiful, I mean not just pretty or cute, I was hot! After seeing myself like that the last of the nerves melted away, and with each picture it became easier and more fun to pose, and to be playful.

Before I knew it, I was dancing to the music, laughing in between frames and having a blast! Perry would stop and show me photos along the way, each one better than the last, and Angie and Jess would be in and out, telling me how fabulous I looked, and how great the pictures looked. With each complement, and snap of the camera my confidence soared.

Once we finished, I started to think about the whole process and couldn’t believe what a transformation it was for me. And I don’t just mean a physical one. By the time I left the studio I felt sexy. I loved my body and had more confidence than I’ve ever had. It was an extraordinary experience that I would highly recommend to anyone, whether it’s a present for a partner, or just for you. What better way to spend a rainy day!

Agent Provocateur – Secrets (Book)

Sensually strong, timid yet bold, and beautifully recounted with just enough acute description of desire and fetish to leave you tingling from head to toe. Secrets is a guilty pleasure you will never feel too guilty to enjoy completely.

In their first compilation of erotic stories Agent Provocateur successfully encompasses a wide range of sensual and sexual fantasies, without relying on the need to be overtly graphic, narrating each story with the power to leave the reader satisfied, yet wanting more at the same time.

From Voyeurism to hidden fetish, from BDSM to experimentation, Secrets seems to incorporate a wide array of intimate encounters that are told as if you were right there with them watching, and even participating in every act.

Agent provocateur hit the nail on the head (so to speak), with this beautiful collection of erotic fiction. These are Secrets that won’t disappoint.

Manhunters DVD

Once again packaging fails to deliver. Despite a promising looking package, with seemingly quality production value, the film itself just wasn’t enough to make even the bottom line.

The plotline was laughable, which wasn’t altogether a shocker, but even the sex scenes (with a few exceptions) were downright hard to watch.

The actors appeared unenergetic, and more unimpressed to be onscreen than usual. And not that aesthetics are everything but so many of the actors were so unattractive and “cheap”, that coupled with the lackluster attitude of everyone but the main group of “bounty hunters”, it was actually difficult to get through most scenes.

That being said if a late fifties to early sixties biker, a handful of worn out B-list porn stars, and facials (for lack of a better term) are your ticket, than this one is for you.

Alll around I would give the film two stars; there are few decent scenes, but not enough.

Bliss Massage Oil

Made with medical grade silicone, and fragrance free, Bliss provides a luxurious texture of liquid silk, and has the added benefit of being an excellent choice for all types of skin, and levels of sensitivity. Bliss provides a lightweight solution to greasy massage oils. Now don’t be fooled Bliss is lightweight but still gives you the coverage of an oil with a surprising twist, with enough massaging (and really who doesn’t want to milk an extra few minutes of massage!) it actually ends up absorbing into your skin, leaving you feeling silky, smooth and moisturized with no greasy residue.

Bliss spreads evenly across your skin with every sweep of your hand, gliding smoothly with each stroke and movement, even the packaging is beautiful. In my opinion Bliss is one of my favorite massage oils so far, and forgive me for the cheese but, it’s a little taste of Bliss every time you use it. I know, I know, but try it out you may be surprised.

Chocolate Fondue, Twisted Love Ties, and Jimmy Jane Massage Candles

We received a number of comments from our other blog that people really enjoy the few product reviews we mentioned. We really didn’t intend it as a way to promote products, but because of the requests, we’ve started a new blog.

This is going to contain some specific details…so mom dad...stop reading! For the rest of you, we will try to be very honest about our products, how we incorporate them and how we like them. Keep in mind, if something is on our store shelves, it’s because it is well researched and likely works for its intended purpose. We don’t want to use this to badmouth other products.

So, here it is…blog 1:

Some days, I am a walking disaster. I was late this morning for the filming of Global TV’s Man on a Mission. Faith had hidden my keys. I barreled into the store and worked on the filming for a few hours. It wasn’t until noon that I realized that today is St. Patty’s day. My brother was likely already face down in a bar…it’s a bigger day than his birthday and I forgot!

To celebrate, we made the kids a chocolate fondue. We had a great time as a family and it took them a while to settle down after the chocolate overload. However, they learned at school that leprechauns visit and bring chocolate to kids that go to bed early. It was impressive that we had all kiddos in bed by a reasonable time.

I know, the fact that I was tired by the end of the day makes me no different than most women out there. My sex drive also was fatigued. We had joked about how fun the chocolate fondue might be. I've always said, if you can start with oral sex...talking...it can get you in the mood long before you hit the bedroom.

He took a shower. (I always know when he wants to have sex because he always showers first!). He then came into the room with a bowl of the chocolate fondue and fruit. On closer look, he was partially covered in fondue. (As I said, all you need is creativity.) My first comment would be that fondue takes a lot longer to lick off than you’d think! So, we had body fondue. A great start to the evening. I wasn’t so tired anymore!

He grabbed Sportsheets new Twisted Love Ties. I’d have to say, we’ve been absolutely in love with these since a customer brought them to our attention. They are made of bendable metal with a nice soft covering on them. They bend in any which way…which makes them so much fun! Brian tied my hands together, then my feet, then with about a two foot span between, tied my feet to my hands. (Twisted’s are awesome! Their only limit is your creativity - just like fondue.) Brian was in total control. I had to submit to all the wonderful pleasures he bestowed on me (oh, and I'd have to say, it was wonderful). I wasn’t able to participate in any way. I just laid back, laughed and enjoyed.

We realized that it wasn’t the most intimate session, so he offered to give me a massage. If you’ve been in our store, you’ll know that the JimmyJane Massage Candles are one of our best sellers. Brian lit it and poured it on. It felt warm and sensual. The temperature is just right, warm, approaching hot, so that you relaxes the muscles but not hot enough to hurt. The massage oil is slippery and not sticky and the smell is wonderful. Although neither of us is going to quit our day jobs and run to Sweden to study massage, the intimacy of the massage far outweighs the importance of Brian’s massage skills. That being said, I think we'll review the how to massage videos soon than later.
