Size Matters

We don’t review our books as often as we should. With four kids, reading is a luxury that I am not always afforded. I’m not great at book reviews as I feel like I am doing a grade 5 book report, but I’ll try.

Size Matters The Hard Facts About Male Sexuality that Every Woman Should Know, is written by Harry Fisch, M.D. Dr. Fisch is a Columbia professor, urologist and fertility doctor. He had enough credentials to get me to read past the first chapter. I have to say, I get pretty tired of books written by self proclaimed experts.

One of the reasons I really wanted to read this book is because I know there are so many misconceptions out there about size. On a regular basis we point to one of our dildos “Perk” and tell people that it is an average size. Both men and women are shocked at how small average is. The truth is, Perk is actually bigger than average.

Dr. Fisch starts off talking about the average size of a penis, 3-3.5” flaccid and slightly more than 5” erect. He talks about the misconceptions that we have about penis size and how it affects our views. He points to one 2005 study in which 92 men came to a hospital clinic and complained that their penises were too small. Not one of them was abnormally small. They were just overestimating average.

Beyond penis size, he addresses testicle size, masturbation, intercourse, the science of contraception, erectile dysfunction and STIs. Sounds boring? Not really. The book is filled with human and facts such as “Animal that produces the most ejaculate: Blue whale – 4 gallons per ejaculation.” He uses excellent statistics through the book and talks about the “Hard Facts”.

I talk about sex all day everyday. I read as much as I can. I am definitely not an expert but I am reasonably well learned on the subject. That being said, I learned a lot from Size Matters.

The book says everyone woman should know these facts. I would actually go further and say it is a book that everyone should read. It puts to rest some of the misconceptions we have about male sexuality. One step closer to positive sexuality.

Agent Provocateur – Secrets (Book)

Sensually strong, timid yet bold, and beautifully recounted with just enough acute description of desire and fetish to leave you tingling from head to toe. Secrets is a guilty pleasure you will never feel too guilty to enjoy completely.

In their first compilation of erotic stories Agent Provocateur successfully encompasses a wide range of sensual and sexual fantasies, without relying on the need to be overtly graphic, narrating each story with the power to leave the reader satisfied, yet wanting more at the same time.

From Voyeurism to hidden fetish, from BDSM to experimentation, Secrets seems to incorporate a wide array of intimate encounters that are told as if you were right there with them watching, and even participating in every act.

Agent provocateur hit the nail on the head (so to speak), with this beautiful collection of erotic fiction. These are Secrets that won’t disappoint.
